Trading rules (all programs)
What is allowed and what is not
9 answers
What trading styles are allowed?
Day trading, swing trading, scalping that holds positions for more than a minute, EAs you control, and overnight or weekend holding on crypto.
What practices are prohibited?
Latency or price-feed arbitrage, exploiting stale prices, tick scalping, hedging between your own accounts or with other firms, account sharing or account management by third parties, and any automation that floods the server with orders.
Is hedging allowed?
Hedging inside one account is allowed. Opposite positions across two of your accounts, or with another firm, are not.
What about high-frequency trading?
Strategies that rely on order-to-fill speed rather than market direction are not allowed. Orders are rate limited per account.
Are Expert Advisors and bots allowed?
Yes, as long as you run and control them and they trade a genuine strategy. Copy trading of your own strategy across your own accounts is allowed except on Summit.
What is the difference between a soft and a hard breach?
A soft breach is a warning (for example the first oversized loss on Spark). A hard breach closes the account (maximum loss, daily loss, a second risk strike or a time limit).
What happens when I break a rule?
The engine closes open positions at the market, the account status changes to Failed and the reason is recorded with the exact equity and floor.
Do you monitor trading for abuse?
Yes. Every order is journaled and reviewed before rewards are paid.
Can I scale up my account?
Two-Step funded accounts can be scaled after consistent rewards. Other programs can be scaled at the risk desk's discretion.
